The Bruce: Georgian Bay

A lot of beaches are only accesible through hikes or by sea, so is the one above. For that reason, we own this lonely spot for ourselves. (click on the above image for a panoramic view!)

The way back is always more challenging...

A good scenic drive with the escarpment on the one and Georgian Bay on the other side goes north from the village of Dyer's Bay and ends at the historic Cabot Head Lighthouse.

Accompanied by insects, ...

...we take a short trail that leads us to a lovely hidden bay.

Blue skies, turquoise water and white rocks: this scenery conveys a Mediterranean atmosphere.

In the late afternoon, we have a coffee at the harbour-beach of Lion's Head.
