Painting the Town

I'm glad to have Dan, in his capacity as VIP visitor from Waterloo/Canada, in the house this weekend.
Beneath sunny skies, we check out some nice sights of downtown: the city hall (above: its inner courtyard) or the wonderful views over the city from the tower of St. Michaelis church.

Life in Hamburg begins after sunset. Having a drink at one of my favourite places, Mr. K.

The famous Reeperbahn, the heart of the entertainment district of Hamburg.

Herbertstraße: gentlemen only behind this fence.

There is no closing time in Hamburg.

A traditional German Mettbrötchen (a bun with spiced minced meat) - delicious! For all of you non Germans: yes, this is raw meat and yes, you can eat it and no, I don't know anybody who got sick having it.
